How do you keep water from freezing in a jersey barrier?

To prevent water from turning into ice, we recommend using Calcium Chloride. The suggested usage would be 4-6 oz of Calcium Chloride for every gallon of water, depending on the outside temperature.

The water in a plastic jersey barrier will freeze if calcium chloride is not added. We suggest adding 4 to 6 ounces of calcium chloride per gallon of water.
